Adeleke gives daughter Nike one-year ultimatum, saying he was already married at her age

Ademola Adeleke – the Osun Governor who loves to sing, dance, an entertain in other ways – has given his daughter Nike “one more year” to bring home a husband from among her “toasters”, warning she is inching past her shelf date at 28 going to 29.
Most women dread aging past 29 without getting married, based on both social ethos and biology. Social, because most men may not find a lady fresh and attractive from age 30. Biology, because most women find it harder to bear children from age 35.
Adeleke urged Nike to find a partner by herself and get married during a Q&A (Question and Answer) session on Nike’s Instagram page at the weekend.
She asked her father how he feels about her still being single at her age.
“I am now 28 and I am about to be 29. How do you feel about me not being married yet?” she enquired.
Her dad expressed expectation for her to get married soon, because she is not getting any younger. He recounted he was already married with a child at her age, and handed her the ultimatum.
“Better start getting ready to get married. That is the next thing. You think you are young? I am expecting all those your toasters, better bring one so you can come and tell me, ‘Dad, this is the one I am going to marry,’” Adeleke said.
“Do you know that at the age of 27, 28 I got married and I had your brother Adesina? You are now 28, I am giving you one more year.”
