Adebayo Kassim, owner of defunct  Kas Chicken is dead 

Adebayo Kassim, a Lagos Socialite and owner of the now defunct fast food joint, Kas Chicken died the day his friend of 45 years, Lobito was buried

Otunba Adebayo Kassim, a Lagos socialite, who operated the popular fast food joint, Kas Chicken in the 90s has died. 

Incidentally, his death occurred a few weeks after the death of another popular Lagos socialite and music promoter, Dotun Olaribigbe better known as Lobito, who was his close friend.

Kassim died on Thursday, July 28, 2022, the day Lobito was buried and he was buried immediately according to Islamic rites.

Prior to his death, Adebayo Kassim had written a tribute for Lobito, who was buried at the Ebony Vaults & Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos.

He wrote, “Good night my general, we been friends for about 45years not one day we don’t talk, I will greatly miss you, wait for me at the gate of heaven see you on the other side your friend and brother forever”

He was also a close associate of the All Progressives Party (APC) chieftain and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.

The socialite, according to media mogul, Bashorun Dele Momodu, contributed immensely to the burial of his late friend, Lobito.

In his 60s, Ade Kassim ventured into politics and contested for Chairmanship position in Surulere Local Government in early 2000. 

He and his sisters, Folake and Shade, took over the running of their late father’s business, the popular eatery, Kas Chicken, which had outlets at Allen Avenue, Ikeja and Surulere, Lagos
