Actress, Simi Gold cheers Bobrisky up after conviction for Naira abuse 

Simi Gold was arrested in 2023, after a video of her spraying and stepping on Naira notes made the rounds online

Nollywood actress, Oluwadarasimi Omoseyin, better known as Simi Gold, has shown solidarity with controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky, who recently pleaded guilty to charges of Naira mutilation. 

The thespian who was also convicted of Naira mutilation last year, took to her Instagram page to send words of encouragement to the embattled social media influencer.

TheNiche on Friday reported that Bobrisky was convicted by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos after Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), brought charges bothering on Naira abuse against her.

However, the judge, Justice Abimbola Awogboro, after giving her verdict, moved his sentencing to April 9.

Following the judgement, Simi Gold sympathised with her friend and assured him that he would come out of the situation stronger.

Speaking via her verified social media page she wrote: “Bobrisky, nothing do you, my friend. You are coming out of this with your head up.”

Sharing a picture of herself and Bobrisky, she added: “Sending you loads of love, my sweetheart Bobrisky.”
