Kemi Afolabi earlier this week refuted reports that she visited a church to seek healing for her ailment and affirmed she remains a devoted Muslim

Nigerian actress, Kemi Afolabi, who specialises in Yoruba movies has disclosed that she is in the United States to seek treatment for her year-long illness, lupus.
In early 2022, the thespian disclosed that she was battling an autoimmune disease.
Kemi took to her Instagram page on Thursday, June 30, to share pictures of herself at the hospital, revealing she was receiving treatment for the ailment at The John Hopkins Hospital in Maryland, United States.
She wrote, “I commence my lupus treatment journey today 06/30/2022 with @hopkinsmedicine ALIHAMDULILAH 🙏”
“Some beautiful souls made this happen, God bless you all. Wish me luck. #warrior.”

In May, some of her Nollywood colleagues launched a fundraiser to aid her treatment and she was quick to acknowledge them.
In her appreciation post, she mentioned Mercy Aigbe, Funke Akindele-Bello, Toyin Abraham, Yomi Fabiyi, Akin Olaiya, Adeoti Kazim, Shola Kosoko, Wumi Toriola, and others, as sponsors of the fundraiser
She also revealed at that time, that the treatment for her medical condition will begin in June 2022.
Earlier this week, a purported picture of the actress, where she was alleged to have gone to a popular church and pastor to seek healing surfaced on social media.
She later debunked the reports stating that she never attended a church for healing, adding that she remained a devoted Muslim, who has a personal relationship with God.
