Nollywood actor, Jerry Amilo, has insisted that his decision to share the corpse of his colleague, Junior Pope on social media was not to chase clout.
The veteran thespian recently shared a video showing the lifeless body of the late Junior Pope lying on the hospital bed.
His action didn’t sit well with fans of the actor and other netizens, who took to the comment section of the post to slam him for being insensitive.

Following all of the backlash, Amilo tendered an apology to fans who were disappointed by his indiscretion.
Speaking on the subject, he wrote:
“It was never my intention to post the video for clout.”
TheNiche had earlier reported that Junior Pope died on Wednesday after a boat conveying him and others capsized on the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a film location.
A lot of media outlets initially said the actor survived the accident, but a statement by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), later confirmed that he was pronounced dead by a doctor.
