Wizkid who is close to his late mum in 2014, released a song titled ‘Mummy Mi’ and dedicated it to women

Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, the mother of ace Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Balogun better known as Wizkid has passed away.
The mother of three died at around 1.30 am, Friday.
Breaking the news of her death to Journalists on Friday, Wizkid’s manager, Sunday Are, confirmed the incident saying; “Yes, she died this morning, at about 1.30 am.”

The cause of her death was, however, not disclosed.
Wizkid was born in Surulere, on July 16, 1990, into a polygamous home with a Muslim father and a Christian mother.
The ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner is known to be very fond of his late mum.
In 2014, he released ‘Mummy Mi’, a song off his ‘Ayo’ album and the song was dedicated to mothers across the world
In August last year, another music heavyweight and Wizkid’s fierce rival, David Adeleke a.k.a Davido, described Jane as an “amazing woman”.
Fans have been thronging to social media platforms to condole the singer and his family since the news made the rounds on the internet.
