AC Milan despite going down to ten men, defeated Roma at Stadio Olimpico, to go level with Napoli on points at the top

Serie A giant, AC Milan, beat Jose Mourinho’s Roma, at the Stadio Olimpico to go level on points with the league leader, Napoli.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic puts AC Milan ahead in the 26th minute after curling a direct kick into the net with his right foot.
The Swedish striker thought he had doubled the away side’s advantage in the 50th minute, only for the goal to be ruled out by VAR.
AC Milan’s second goal finally came seven minutes later, after Roger Ibanez tripped Ibrahimovic in the penalty box, and Franck Kessie scored from the penalty spot to make it 2-0 to the away side.
Theo Hernandez was given the marching order by the referee, Fabio Maresca, in the 66th minute after receiving a second yellow card for a Technical foul.
Roma were more dominant at the goalmouth, but could not score despite having 9 shots on target and the numerical advantage.
Jose Mourinho’s team eventually got a consolatory goal, deep into the stoppage time, through Stephan Shaarawy to end the game 2-1 in favor of AC Milan.
The match referee brought proceedings to a close after adding seven extra minutes. He also issued eight yellow cards and a red card during the match.
