Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has expressed appreciation to the people of his state and his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the verdict of the Supreme Court which  affirmed his victory in the March 18 governorship election.

The apex court on Friday morning in a unanimous decision, dismissed the appeal by Oladipupo Adebutu, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the last governorship election in the State.

Reading the judgement of the five-member panel, Justice Tijjani Abubakar, held that Adebutu and the PDP failed to prove their case.

Justice Abubakar went on to resolve all the issues raised for determination against the appellants and held that the appeal was without merit.
