He said: “This team, through the players and officials, has shown Nigerians that it is in the league for real business and to prove that it has what it takes to compete for honours.
“Our team has been impressive. We’ve shown people that we did not just gain promotion by fluke; we are a winning team.
“Everybody can see our results and I think we’ve done a good job so far. We want to be in a position that will be desirable. I am sure nobody believed we will be where we are today when the league kicked off.”
Inyama disclosed that the club’s target is to finish the season on high as they aim to challenge for laurels.
He said: “Our target is to always challenge for laurels in every competition that we find ourselves, and that’s exactly our objective this season.
“Everyone at the club, from the management team to the coaching crew and the playing staff, are well aware of our target in the ongoing season.
“We are very focused on what we want to achieve at the end of the season: success,” the club manager added.
Abia Warriors are 5th on the Glo Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table with 37 points from 24 games played after surviving a fierce encounter last Sunday against local rivals, Enyimba. The match ended 3-3 in Umuahia.
