The Governing Board of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia, has expressed its appreciation to the State Governor, Theodore Orji for his support and encouragement to the club which has taken it to greater heights.
The Board, at the end of their meeting recently, noted that the Governor has supported the club financially and morally, throwing his weight behind the team at all times.
“While players and officials of other clubs have continued to groan under unpaid salaries and allowances resulting from dearth of funds, Abia Warriors is not indebted to any player, official or staff. It is a thing of joy” the Board said in a statement signed by the chairman and secretary, chief Emeka Inyama and Oliver Ndife respectively.
According to the Board, all Abians should continue their support for the Governor and vote massively for him to enable him realize his Senatorial ambition as a way of reciprocating his good works.
The Abia Warriors Board urges all Abians of voting age to obtain their Permanent Voters’ Card to enable them vote for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming General elections.
