“I wish to express my profound gratitude to the tens of thousands of members of our great Party, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and the generality of Ndi Abia, who supported us and voted for us in the Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections of 18th March 2023.
“May God bless you richly and reward you for the massive show of love, commitment and belief in our capacity to take our dear State to the next level of development within a peaceful and secure socio-political environment,” he said.
The governor, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu had taken similar step when he sent a message of congratulations to the governor-elect.
The governor in his message through his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka, noted that Dr. Otti has fought a long battle over a very long period of time and deserves commendation for his staying power and resilience.
Ikpeazu also paid tributes to the other candidates who took part in the election, especially the PDP candidate, Ahiwe, for their doggedness, stressing that Otti should be given an enabling environment to run the affairs of state from May 29th, 2023. He urged the other candidates not to distract the incoming governor with court cases.
