Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf on Thursday visited the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, in Abuja over the emirate tussle.
The governor, in a statement by his spokesman, Sunusi Tofa, said the meeting was fruitful.
The duo met following the dissolution of five emirates by the Kano State House of Assembly through the repeal of the state emirate law and the subsequent restoration of Emir Muhammad Sanusi II by the governor.
Tofa said the men deliberated on several issues including state and national development and the peaceful coexistence of the nation.

“It was a fruitful discussion between myself and the National Security Adviser, his role is critical for the harmonious existence of our nation, so I briefed him on the recent developments in Kano,” Yusuf said.
The meeting comes after the NSA was accused of meddling in the Kano crisis, which he swiftly denied.
Kano State Deputy Governor Aminu Gwarzo apologised to Ribadu for the allegation, attributing it to flawed intelligence.
The meeting coincided with Sanusi’s sixth day at the Kano palace, where a significant majority of district heads and kingmakers have pledged their allegiance to him.
