49 ships laden with petroleum products, other goods, expected in Lagos

Forty nine ships laden with containers, foods, petroleum products and other goods would arrive Lagos ports from Jan. 9 to Jan. 30.

 

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said this in its daily publication – `Shipping Position’ – made available to newsmen on Friday in Lagos.

 

The document stated that 17 of the expected ships would arrive with containers of different goods.

 

It explained that three other ships were expected to arrive with petroleum products like aviation fuel and diesel.

 

The document noted that three other ships containing fresh fish were also being expected.

 

It stated that the remaining 26 ships would arrive with vehicles, buckwheat, bulk charcoal, bulk salt, bulk sugar, bulk malt, bulk rice, crude palm oil, soda ash, base oil and general cargo.

 

The document indicated that eight other ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with food items and petroleum products.

 

It noted that 17 other ships were discharging buckwheat, general cargo, fresh fish, bulk rice and petroleum products.
