* Ms Babatunde Toyin wins refrigerator and Ukpabia Chinomso wins generating set… as consolation prizes
It was a moment of irrepressible excitement today, Thursday, when the Chief Financial Officer, Fidelity Bank Plc, Victor Abejegah presented a cheque of N500,000 to Samuel Ikwuje, Fidelity Save4 Shelter Savings Promo Star Prize Winner (Lagos region), in the rent support category of the ongoing “Save 4 Shelter” promo.
Ms Babatunde Toyin and Ukpabia Chinomso were also presented with consolation prizes of a refrigerator and a generating set respectively. Held at Fidelity Bank Plc’s Corporate Headquarters in Lagos, the event was the fourth in the prize presentation series of the promo. Similar prizes were won in other regions, with some customers smiling home with cash prizes ranging between N500,000 to N2 million.
Aimed at achieving the Central Bank of Nigeria’s financial inclusion mandate, Fidelity Bank’s “Save 4 Shelter” promo is purposefully designed to entrench a savings culture among Nigerians. The Savings Promo which commenced five months ago is also part of the bank’s sincere contribution towards bridging Nigeria’s housing deficit.
Overall, a total of N5 million cash/rent support prizes were handed out to six winners across the nation, bringing the total amount in the cash/rent support category to N25m so far.
For transparency and credibility, the prize presentation ceremony was conducted under the close supervision of representatives of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) and Consumer Protection Council (CPC).
