Air Vice Marshal Adesola Amosu, former Chief of Air Staff, has been detained by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of massive fraud in arms procurement during his tenure.
An informed source close to the anti-graft agency confirmed to The Niche online that Amosu is still with the agency as at Thursday.
He is being investigated, among other things, for the purchase of two helicopters without functional rotors, which were later fitted with parts from an unserviceable chopper that crashed with two Air Force pilots who died in the crash near Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.
