The Millennium Fellowship sponsored by the Millennium Campus Network (MCN) and the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) now has a chapter at the University of Lagos.
23 students of UNILAG have been selected Millennium Fellows.
The Fellowship is anchored on a number of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Millennium Fellowship of the University of Lagos Campus Cohort 2019 has two Campus Directors who would be informing other Fellows of the events and meetings that would be taking place.
Since the Millennium Fellowship is goal-driven, each of the Fellows is expected to have achieved one Sustainable Development Goal or another at the end of the 2019 session.
Campu Directors – Solomon Oladipupo and Taiwo Adebiyi – would be relating what they have been taught for the past few weeks in training to other Fellows. Also, they would ensure that information from the Programmes Manager, Noha Al-Khalqi is promptly related to other Fellows.
“The application process for the Class of 2019 was very competitive. Over 7,000 young leaders applied from over 1,200 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) have been selected to host 1,092 Millennium Fellows in 2019,” noted MCN.
