2023: Nigerians choose leaders of their dream – on social media

By Ishaya Ibrahim, News Editor  Nigerians are choosing leaders of their dream for the country, and even forming a cabinet for the next administration, albeit on social media ahead of the 2023 election.

Top on their list for president is either Peter Obi, Seyi Makinde or the combination of the two.

On who should be the country’s  Finance Minister, they unanimously agreed that Ngozi Okonjo Iweala should be given the position, but they also wondered if she would agree to leave her World Trade Organisation (WTO) job.

For @thejohneke, his preferred team in 2023 comprise:

 “Peter Obi – President

“Seyi makinde – Vice President

“Ngozi Okonjo Iweala – Minister for Finance

“Femi falana – Chief justice of the Nation.”

He was however reminded that Falana isn’t a judge and can’t be appointed CJN. He later adjusted the list and made Falana the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).

But  @seunosewa querries: “Is this meant to be a realistic list? If so, how will you sell it to the north? If not, NOI is a better choice for president.”

For @OshodiFaruk, his preferred team for 2023 include:

“Kingsley maghalu – president,

“Sanusi Lamido Sanusi – Vice President,

“Oby ezekwesili – Minister for education,

“Falana – Chief Justice

” Akinwunmi Adesina – Minister for finance. “

He also was reminded that Falana would have to be a judge to become the country’s Chief Justice.

@Ejimoadama suggested: “How about we have it this way. Let’s say;

“Peter Obi President,

“Aminu Tambuwal – VP,

“Mansur Mukhtar – Finance minister,

“Ebun Adegboruwa – AGF OR

“Yemi Osinbajo – President, Zulum – VP,

“Alex Otti – Finance Minister,

“Festus Keyamo – AGF. “

@KalioDavidNg said”I’d even prefer Seyi Makinde as President and Peter Obi as Vice President.”
