2023: Aare Abiodun parleys PDP ward exco in Akure South

Aare Abiodun said he decided to represent the Constituency as a result of the sufferings his people are passing through presently.

The leading House of Assembly aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akure South Constituency One, Aare Abiodun Oluwarotimi has met with all the thirty four exco members of wards five and six to solicit for their supports in the forthcoming May 7, 2022 Primary elections.

The Chairman of Aare Abiodun Campaign Organization, Hon. Apostle Kehinde Omoniyi while speaking describes the aspirant as a man of humility who has come to serve his people in Akure South Constituency One.

According to him, Aare Abiodun has been tested and trusted saying that the aspirant has all the required qualities to pilot the affairs of the Constituency if given the chance to represent them at the Ondo State House of Assembly in 2023.

“I am very sure that Abiodun won’t abandon the party and his people at any time if he is elected to represent them at the Chambers .

His words: “We have tested and verified everything about this aspirant and we can boldly say that he has all it takes. He is eminently qualified. He also has the backing of some stakeholders in the Constituency.

“Aare Abiodun is a man who loves to bring people close to himself and that is why you are seeing some leaders, principal excos and local government excos of our sister constituency (Constituency Two) here today to identify with him

.

“We didn’t just wake up today to say we will support him. We took our time to study him. We took our time to verify his claims. We took our time to consult with our leaders and then decided to join his team after we have been convinced that he will not fail us. We have joined him because he has the majority support.

“If you elect him, he won’t be shuttling between Nigeria and America. He is a grassrooter and he will prefer to stay with us, identify with us and address all the problems facing us and our great constituency”

Speaking at the meeting, some prominent members of the Campaign Organization, Hon. (Mrs) Johnson, Hon. (Mrs) Kokumo and Hon. Muyiwa Agunloye said that Aare Abiodun is a man of integrity with a zeal to serve his people in Akure South Constituency One if elected in 2023.

They urged the Excos to weigh their options after which they will realize that the aspirant is the only way to liberation, development and progress of the Constituency.

They made it known that they have decided to identify with the aspirant with their whole hearts and they won’t welcome any other aspirant for the same position again because of their personal conviction that he (Aare) will use his experience to perform creditably well at the State House of Assembly.

In his own speech, Aare Abiodun made it known that he decided to represent the Constituency as a result of the sufferings his people are passing through presently.

He also promised that he will spend the Constituency allowances approved for the Constituency judiciously by always inviting representative of all the Six Wards to a forum where discussions will be held on the projects they want the allowances spent on.

However, pLas¹the Secretary of the Ward, Hon. Igbadieye Omoniyi, asked Aare Abiodun to clear airs on allegations that he wasn’t from Akure and also asked the aspirant to put light on allegation that he had a criminal case in Benue State.

In his response, Aare Abiodun said he is a bonafide son of Akure with family houses, personal home and business outfits in Iro, Arakale, Imafon, Idi Agba Tuntun, Oke Aro, Ijomu and Oda areas of Akure.

He also stated that the court case he had in 2017 with the current governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom, who later made him a media consultant, was a civil case saying that it was a case of libel which every active journalist always has with state or federal governments in the quest of doing his job. “I was not imprisoned for any criminal act.

The Chairman of the Ward 6, Hon. Banji Omomo, lauded Aare Abiodun for his outstanding commitment to the party at all levels in the last three years.

Omomo noted that it was rare for an aspirant to be financially committed and dedicated to the party like Aare Abiodun even when his own election is still more than three years away.

He also lauded the aspirant for all his moral and financial supports to the party during the last governorship election in Ondo state in year 2020.

He urged Aare Abiodun not to relent in his supports to the party saying that he should not look the ways of backbiters who are out to discourage and distract him.

In his own address, the Chairman of Ward 5, Hon. Eniola Wande, praised Aare Abiodun for all his activities to make sure that PDP continues to wax stronger in Akure South and the entire state.

Wande lauded the selfless efforts of the aspirant during the campaigns for the last House of Representatives Bye-election in Akure North and South Federal Constituency.

He said that only a courageous aspirant like Aare Abiodun could do all he did during the February, 2022 campaigns. “He risked his own ambition and only a brave man could do that uncommon thing.

“It is now a pay back time for Aare so he can reap all the good fruits that he was able to sow during the Bye-election”, he added.
