A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), member of the Bayelsa State Post Primary School Board and a former chairman of Odi Local Government Area, Chief Millionaire Asangba, has assured of the success of his party in the forthcoming general election in the state.

He said that PDP would win all the elections from the House of Assembly, House of Representatives , the Senate and president under a free, fair and credible elections.

But, he warned that any attempt by the opposition to engage in violence, intimidation and other electoral violence would be resisted in the state, stressing, “nobody has monopoly of violence.”

Asangba, who spoke in Yenagoa, pointed out that the legacy projects of Governor Seriake Dickson were enough to convince any Bayelsan not to waste his time to cast votes wrongly, but to vote for candidates that would support the consolidation of the impactful dividends of democracy already provided in the state for the past seven years which are unprecedented and non-paralleled in the history in the state.

The legacy projects, according to him, include the the three senatorial district roads, the International Cargo Airport, massive investment in education, establishment of the Bayelsa Medical University and University of Africa, introduction of boarding systems in eight model secondary schools, the Ijaw National Academy.   “All these and others are what  will convince the people to vote for PDP and not the  alleged stockpiling of arms and recruitment of thugs by the opposition, notably the diaspora politicians based in Abuja  to perpetrate electoral violence and thuggery which are ill wind that blows nobody any good,” he said.
