2019 guber election: Bauchi group supports Shuaibu

Professionals and Stakeholders Forum from Bauchi South Senatorial Zone has called on  Alhaji Ahmed Shuaibu to contest for governorship election in the state come 2019.

Addressing the press at NUJ Secretariat in Bauchi on Wednesday, Chairman of the group, Mallam Yusufu Usman, described Shuaibu as the last hope of the common man in Bauchi.

He said, “Alhaji Shuaibu needs no introduction. He is very simple, truly humble, selfless, easily accessible, always cheerful, friendly, so passionate to do good. He is the one and for all.

“We are here to unveil the “SAVE BAUCHI PROJECT” and to make a clarion call for Ahmed Shuaibu to assert the people’s call by stepping forward to contest the governorship of the state and or in our least expectation, the senatortorship of Bauchi South senatorial zone come 2019.

“Having searched deeply and introspectively by high moral conviction and in tandem with the expectations of our people as well irretrievable expectations of our people, we are today making a voice that Bauchi state and Bauchi senatorial district earnestly and desperately desire Alhaji Ahmed Shuaibu, the game changer come 2019. As far as we are concerned, for Bauchi our people and our future there is no better choice outside Ahmed Shuiabu in the making of Bauchi State.”

The group appealed to Shuaibu to see the people’s call as a civic responsibility “as our one and only hope come 2019”.

Usman described present leadership in Bauchi as a failure, saying, “everyone in Bauchi now knows that we are sinking. It takes a blind man to understand that Bauchi is finished as nothing on ground and absolutely nothing to show.

“Those to whom mandate was given based on ballot and trust have now become stomatocrats and Abuja Majors. Regrettable, the entire future of the people of Bauchi State is hanging on the balance. We are now faced with an era where no one listens to them and no one to takes care of them. The stomatocrats are busy enriching themselves while our people are slowly dying,” he lamented.

Alhaji Ahmed Shuaibu had contested for governorship and senatorial election under defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in 2007 and 2011, respectively but failed.
