Distinguished Constitutional lawyer and elder statesman, Professor Ben Nwabueze has said that 2019 election was crucial and would to a large extent determine the bright future or otherwise of the country.
He pleaded with Nigerians to participate actively in determining wisely those that will run the affairs of the country through their votes.
The Professor of Professors as he is fondly called by his numerous admirers spoke at the 4th anniversary lecture of The Niche Newspapers.
Nwabueze who praised The Niche Newspapers for its determination, steadfastness and purposeful journalism said there was no reason why the nation would not be great but for poor leadership.
Said Nwabueze” The 2019 election will make or mar Nigeria, so we have to participate actively to ensure we put the right type of leadership.”
“2019 is important to all of us, so we all must go out to vote on the Election Day. We can only change the fortune of this country not by staying neutral and complaining but by ensuring we participate actively in the electoral process.
“I commend The Niche newspaper editors for their doggedness, courage, steadfastness and determination in their pursuit of purposeful journalism.”
