15 ships with various products arrive Lagos ports

Fifteen ships have arrived at the ports in Lagos, with food, general cargo and petroleum products, the Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA) said on Wednesday in Lagos.

 

 

The NPA disclosed this in its daily publication, the ‘Shipping Position,’ made available to newsmen in Lagos.

 

 

According to the NPA, the food products including bagged and soya beans were brought in six ships, while another ship brought in containers.

 

 

Petrol, kerosene and base oil arrived at the ports in the remaining eight ships, the NPA said.

 

 

Meanwhile, the NPA said it was expecting the arrival of 34 ships to the Lagos ports.

 

 

It said that the ships were expected to sail into the ports from March 24 to April 7.

 

 

The NPA disclosed that 13 of the expected ships would arrive with containers, while 10 would arrive with food products including rice, sugar, frozen fish and buckwheat.

 

 

General cargo are expected in four ships, while seven more ships will bring in base oil, petrol, kerosene and aviation fuel, according to the NPA.
