Emiliano Sala’s former club, Nantes has paid tribute to the late footie who went missing late January after he boarded a small plane to Cardiff City where he was signed as a player.
The video tribute shows late Sala in various outings for Nantes before his death.
In the video, Sala was seen getting off a Nantes bus with colleagues, greeting and acknowledging cheers from fans, arriving football venues with colleagues, playing and celebrating goals with Nantes players and fans.
The video posted on Nantes Twitter page hit over 100,000 views within a minute and is titled #RIPSala, hashtag fans and well-wishers had used to commiserate with Nantes, Sala’s family and his never to be a new club, Cardiff City.
Last week there were speculations that Cardiff City was yet to make full payments for Sala’s transfer from Nantes and that his former club is pressuring Cardiff to complete the payment. Both clubs did not comment on the issue.
Sala’s body and that of the pilot, David Ibbotson, were recovered underwater wreckage.
