Members of the international community on Friday urged Nigerians to be peaceful and go out and vote in tomorrow’s elections.

One of those who made the appeal is Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.

“Today I join with Nigerians to pray for peaceful, free, credible, transparent & fair elections on the new dates. Many participants are able to accept the result and may their great and gifted nation find peace, prosperity, security and hope for all citizens,” Welby said in a Twitter message.

The Canadian High Commission in Nigeria also asked Nigerians to “exercise their democratic rights and get out and vote tomorrow,” that Nigerians will decide their future because they deserve a free, fair, credible and peaceful chance to do so.

“Time don reach make una put una mouth where una vote dey,” the High Commission tweeted in pidgin.

The UK High Commission in Nigeria said Nigerians should go out and vote to “have a say on who runs your country.”

The United Nations Special Representative in Nigeria urged Nigerians to ensure the conduct of peaceful, and credible polls that will strengthen Nigeria’s leading role in Africa and beyond.
